Happy PEEPS Day!
It is Wednesday and that can only mean its BUSINESS TIME! So I actually have class at 8:30 on Wednesdays...so if for some reason I am late one week with posting the challenge..you know why. However, I was smart enough to write this challenge last night. I figured I could get up a few minutes early and post on time...and look it worked! So who loves babies? Puppies? Kittens? Brads? I know what on earth do these things have in common? Well in. The very back of the current ISSUE is a big hint...is the suspense getting to you? They are all cute and little. I love cute little things and that is what inspired this weeks challenge. Well you know what comes next?I ISSUE YOU THIS CHALLENGE: Create a layout, card or altered item that uses a ......mini envelope...Now if you don't have one, make one. I am very excited to see how you, the most talent scrappers in the world, use mini envelopes
On my layout I wanted to keep the look graphic and clean.when I tried to place journaling it just didn't look right. I went to the pages of CK to get inspired and saw that cute layout on page xx and thought..oh perfect because I can still have journaling and incorporate additional design elements by altering the envelope...and so I created this beachy fun layout!
Blessings friends...be sure to include your process if you have time, I do read all of them and it is really cool to hear the how and why of your work!

I did this one during CK Summer Camp for the SMASH challenge. I'm posting it in case I don't get a chance to make a new one this week. I used a small envelope to hold the movie tickets. The picture is awful, my camera was on the wrong setting. It was the only picture I had and still wanted to document the momentous occasion!

I've always struggled with using envelopes for journaling because you can't easily get to it, so I decided to keep my story where people could read it and tuck away the secrets into my mini envelope. I used my scoring board to whip up this little guy myself. It is titled as such because the cutting of the sandwich in odd shapes is not always welcome, lol!

Such an awesome challenge! Having to include an envelope gave me a different idea on how to tell a story from our wedding day. It allowed me to include a special memory that I might not have otherwise included in my wedding album. It was a great way to work outside of my usual pattern, although I relied on a sketch posted by Tuki at http://www.scrapbook.com/gallery/image/other/3582767.html.
The envelope and card and die-cut word were cut from the Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge. The other die-cuts are from the S.E.I. paper line and I layered them to make the most of the vellum envelope.
I apologize that the following two pictures have the wrong embelishment on top of the envelope. I finished the layout, took photographs, started uploading them and realized I didn't like the embellishments I had selected so I changed them to simple paper flowers instead. Unfortunately by camera battery died before I could retake all the pictures. I plan to take new ones soon.
The journaling reads:
My legs shook throughout our wedding ceremony. From the moment I turned and faced Aaron to say my vows, I could feel them tremble and quake. I have never been more certain of anything in my life as I was that moment, I wanted to marry Aaron. But the only thing that kept me in place was looking into his eyes and my grip on his hands. Luckily my dress hid the tremors from everyone.

Thanks again Ericka for pushing me outside my comfort zone. I really enjoyed this one.
Keep on smiling - Kerry

Here's mine - I didn't have an envelope, so I made one - it's really just a pocket and does contain the journaling. This is totally lifted from a LO I saw on flowers to flourishes website last week (creator unknown).
I love your fun LO Erika!! TFS!
I used this LO for Ashley's August Sketch it out challenge too!

I missed Issue Challenge #7, but I managed to combine it with this week's challenge. Feels like I haven't scrapped in AGES, so it felt good to get back in the saddle again.
I used Ashley's sketch for this layout. :) I decided to add a little manila envelope that I have had laying around for a while. Here's a close-up of the envelopeAnd the journaling card inside!
