As kids, all of us have used coloring pencils in our
art whether we colored inside the lines or outside. But have you used coloring
pencils or watercolor pencils in your scrapbooking? You can do many things with
coloring pencils such as, add colorful details to your stamped images, use them
with stencils, color in your doodles, etc.
Here are a few examples of the various things you
can do with coloring pencils.

Keepsakes magazine, page 102.
In this layout, I used watercolor pencils to color
white cardstock and then misted it lightly with water.

I used watercolor pencils with stencils on this one.
Then I misted it lightly with water and let it blend softly.
If you don't have stencils handy, you can use
punched or die-cut shapes as tracing guides to create a fun background with coloring
pencils.

With
Buzz by Mou Saha. Supplies:
Cardstock: Die
Cuts with a View; Punches: Fiskars; Letters stickers: Crate Paper; Coloring pencils and pen: Faber-Castell
DMC; Adhesive: 3M.
I added my photo and laid out punched stars in
various sizes and traced them with orange, red and green coloring pencils,
removed the shapes and colored them in their outline color.

When I doodled a journaling spot on white cardstock
with pen and filled in with a green pencil.

You can download this doodled journaling spot here.
Now, it's your turn! Your challenge is to use
coloring pencils or watercolor pencils creatively on your layout. For more
ideas on how you can get a little messy on your pages, check out this post!
