My scrapspace
My scrapspace is what I call "My Office" -- I keep my devices in there, and all my craft things. I have a door to shut, keeping out all people and cats when I want. :)
It's a mess though. I am in that limbo stage still, using a big old glass desk to hold my laptop and cameras and things I'm looking at (books, magazines, paper packs ...) I usually end up with stacks of things and don't have room for doing anything else there, unless I "clean up" but that only then creates a couple of feet of space to do anything in, not really contiguous space either.
My table is behind the door. It's FULL of things, holding my Cricut Expression, some baskets & boxes of things, more stacks ... more stacks, more stacks. Loose things lying around. When I scrap something, I make a mess. I've made a point to force myself to put away most of my main things when I'm done for awhle, things that have a home, that is. Even so I end up with a mess, so many things have homes, but so many things do not.
My IKEA Bergsbo red cabinet holds a lot of stuff. It could hold more than it does now, but then it'd be full and not as functional. Really I hope I can get both the desk and table out of this room, sooner than later, and have a built in computer area, some workspace next to it, shelves or cabinets above. Behind that, I'd like a nearly full wall of cabinets with counter work space. I don't use my Cricut much, no kidding, of course not, it's a pain to move enough stuff out the way for me to use it. I envision that continuing forever, unless I can get enough cabinets/shelves to have some place to put all this stuff.
One thing I could do would be to empty out the file cabinet and put all the printer ink and loose paper stuff in there. ... but then the files wouldn't have a home (old stuff, not relevant any more, somewhat) ... That's where my printer is, it needs a better home too, it prints well, and then spits the paper quickly onto the floor. It has no paper-guard like other printers have had that I've owned. OK so have to put that somewhere else. Sigh. I can't. If I put it on the table I'd never see it again. It'd be buried alive. [So now I hear "...buried alive in love ..." playing in my head (H.I.M.) :) ] No more scanning or printing.
