Steak Tacos LO
This LO is based on Sassy Lil Sketches' August Week 2 Layout Sketch (which can be seen here http://www.sassylilsketches.com/photos/albums/userpics/10053/normal_August_14.jpg). This sketch was somewhat of a struggle for me, with the "whimsical" look of it, but I'm pretty happy with the end result. Not my usual style, but sometimes it's fun to do something a little different.
Now, before I show you my LO, I want to tell you the story behind it. The tradition at our house is on a birthday the birthday person gets to choose what I fix for dinner that night. It's just something we always do - and the kids love being able to choose what's for dinner. It makes their day even more special. Anyway, for my DD's 3rd birthday (last year) she chose her favorite dinner - steak tacos. And here's the LO:
