For friends and family, receiving
a hand-made Halloween card is a special treat. Making them doesn't have to be
tricky though. In celebration of World Card Making Day,
we've teamed up with our sister magazine, Paper
Crafts, to bring you several ideas to get you crafting Halloween cards with
your scrapbooking supplies.
1. Use a sketch! Laura O'Donnell used a sketch from
the September/October 2010 issue of Paper Crafts magazine when she designed her card with fun Halloween
themed patterned papers. Browse through past issues of Paper Crafts
and Creating Keepsakes
magazines to find many inspiring sketches.

how to make this card are also available on the Paper Crafts website.
2. Simple sentiments in Paper Crafts magazine are also an
excellent source of inspiration. Kim
Hughes printed this cauldron and text onto a subtly patterned paper to
create her spooky card.

3. Dress your card up! Haunted
mansions are full of beautiful touches-- lace, candelabras, and brocade
wallpapers. Windy Robinson used a fancy
ribbon and beautiful rhinestone accent to dress up her Halloween
card.

Kristen Swain used an
elegant brocade paper as the backdrop for her card. She also added touches of ribbon and a flower
to make it pretty. To get the scoop on

feature in the October
2010 issue of Creating Keepsakes
magazine.
