The week of January 10-14 we had style swap week on Club CK. Not only did Club CK members receive advice and coaching on their scrapbook layouts, but there was even a contest to create the best layout in eight different categories. The following layouts were our winners! If you were one of our winners, watch for a conversation on your my profile page for information on how to claim your prize.

Style swap week contest

This is a very special week on Club CK! We have several Contributing Writers and Dream Team members ready to give you style coaching and constructive criticism on your scrapbook pages. We want you to push yourself to your creative limits, and so we're offering prizes (shown below) to the creators of our favorite layouts in each style group. If you have questions about participating in style swap week, read through this post.

To enter to win, here's what you'll need to do:

Post a draft of your layout in your style group. This layout can be one you've already posted in your gallery, as long as it's one you want to improve.
Consider the comments and constructive criticism you receive, and work to improve your layout. Play around with your own ideas too--just because someone suggests something doesn't mean you have to use their ideas. It's your layout! Don't forget to help others in your style group by offering your opinions and suggestions on their layouts too.
Once you are completely happy with your scrapbook page, upload your layout to the Club CK gallery.

* link to your post in your style group
* link to the final version of your layout in the gallery

You may enter one time for each style group, but you will only be eligible to win one prize. The contest closes at 9:00 A.M. MST January 17, 2011, and winners will be announced January 24, 2011!

How to participate in style swap week

If you are interesting in receiving feedback and constructive criticism on a scrapbook page, here's what you'll need to do:

1. Become a free member of Club CK.

2. Photograph your layout.

3. Decide which style group you want to join. For more information on how to join a group, click here. If you're having a hard time choosing, take this fun quiz.

4. Once on your group page, click discussions. Begin a new post in your style group.

5. Click on the insert media button

6. Click browse, find the photo of your layout on your hard drive, and click open.

7. Click post. Your layout will automatically resize to fit the window.

8. Once you have posted your layout, click reply.

9. write about what you're having a hard time with. Whether you can't get the title right, or just you're not sure your paper is working with your photos, dream team members and your fellow scrappers will help you find solutions to your scrapping problems.

10. Post your reply, and then check out the other layouts in your group. Even if you're not an expert, sometimes it just takes another pair of eyes to come up with a solution. And remember, just because someone suggests you try something on your layout, it's still your scrapbook page. When you are happy with what you've created, post your layout in the gallery so everyone can see! And don't forget to enter the contest.
