March Pinterest Challenge

Pinterest is quickly becoming a very popular website for visual people. With the ability to "pin" any image you find online, users can visually bookmark and share tutorials, ideas, and images. Using an image that isn't necessarily scrapbook-related and creating a layout based on what you like about it is a very fun way to use the site. For this challenge, that's exactly what you'll get to do!

Choose between one of the following images for inspiration. If you click on them it'll take you to the image on Pinterest. On Pinterest, images will link back to the original source. If images are removed from the original source, they will still remain on Pinterest.

Inspiration:

Love the bright yellow, the flowers, and the stitching

Written with a paint brush

The brown ruffled cup

The stitched details

My take: I took the color, flowers, and stitching from the first one for my background, the painted words from the second for my journaling, the brown grainy texture from the third for my title. I'm saving the fourth one for another layout!

Supplies: Patterned papers: Pink Paislee (yellow) and Recollections (script); Letter stickers and camera accent:  Hambly Screen Prints; Buttons: Jillibean Soup; Acrylic Paint: DecoArt; Pen and brush marker:  Faber-Castell; Adhesive: 3M; Other:  palette knife, sewing machine and thread

Thanks for the challenge, Mou, Your layout is beautiful!

Here's my take- clubcreatingkeepsakes.com/.../870101.aspx

I used the flowers from the 1st image, the painted letter technique from the 2nd image, the brown grainy texture from the 3rd, and I added in a few fake stitches to make it look like the 4th picture. This was fun!

Thankyou Mou for the inspiring challenge, love all the pins! So I was inspired by all of them. From the first pin I used mostly yellow, pp, flowers, lace, textures and stitching. From the second one I also used a brushstroke paint for the title and added a white inner boarder, for the journaling Brush Script font with a noisy white boarder to simulate waves splashing. From the third I took the texture design and added a wave and ruffled blue flowers and textured yellow flowers. from the last pin I used an embroidered flower design and altered the colour to suit.

Here is mine LO..Fun In The Sun....

Here is my layout.  I chose to use the second photo of the font.  I loved the font...I used my die cut machine to cut the font.

I love the colors. The bright yellow color and pink from the "stitched details" are good color combinations inspired me to make one to Welcome Spring 2012. It seems like my little birds seem to be very happy when they are out from the cage to enjoy the Spring time. I've to find the photos to put it in and perhaps make more as Spring 2012 collection. This is my first time posted here. Here is mine  clubcreatingkeepsakes.com/.../upload.aspx
