Hey CKers! Deena Wuest here wishing you a happy Digital
Scrapbooking Day! As we head into November, our minds naturally turn to
thoughts of appreciation for the blessings in our lives. And this day, in
particular, I definitely count the discovery of digital scrapbooking as one of
those blessings!
So for your challenge today we are going to combine the
two! Your mission is to use your computer, in one way or another, to create a
layout about something for which you are thankful. Here are a few ideas to get
you jump-started!
Look for simple ways to convey a strong message.
Documenting your thoughts and emotions are just as important as documenting
events. Is there specific evidence you find around your house that makes you
thankful for your family? Record it! Download my "I Am
Grateful" title to use on your own digital or hybrid layout!

Create a digital mini book of all the people for whom you
are grateful. Keeping a consistent layout and color palette throughout keeps
the project unified and simple. If you order copies for everyone in your family,
your Christmas shopping list just got a whole lot shorter!

Digital products just keep getting better and better.
With the multitude of realistic products featuring drop shadows, stitching and
lifelike elements, it's easy to create that traditional look with nothing but
your computer.

Today I Am So Thankful by Linda Rodriguez, as seen in the November/December 2011 issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine, page 39.
Still prefer the look and feel of traditional layouts?
While enjoying the tactile quality of traditional, you can still take advantage
of the flexibility of digital in smaller doses. Create your journaling in
Microsoft Word, print, and use along with your paper projects on your next
layout.

So get busy! The challenge starts now. Whether you create a
100% digital layout or just digitally produce your journaling, we want to see
you document what you are thankful for!

You have two chances to win!
If you'd like to participate in the
live challenge, use your computer to create a layout about something you're grateful for. At the end of that time, photograph or scan your layout, and upload
the image to the Club
CK gallery (learn how to upload your project here).
Then leave a comment below with the URL link to your page by 12:15 p.m. MDT
today (November 5). For example, your comment could look like this:
"Thanks for the fantastic challenge! My page is posted here: http://clubcreatingkeepsakes.com/media/p/31086.aspx."
If you weren't able to complete your
project during the live challenge, or you'd like to spend more time working on
it, you have until 9:00 a.m. MST Monday November 7, 2011 to complete the
"long challenge". Follow the above instructions for posting
your layout and commenting. One winner will be chosen from each group, and they'll
each receive a $100 gift certificate from Happy to Create!
