Club CK just wouldn't be the wonderful community of scrapbookers that it is without our wonderful members. If you've spent any time in the Club CK forum, you probably know a little bit about Okanogangirl (Amanda). Get to know our February spotlight of the month a little better by reading her interview and checking out some of her favorite scrapbook layouts.
How long have you been scrapbooking?
I have been scrapping for 6 years now. I've had the desire for many
many years before that, but just didn't have the budget to start.
What do you like best about paper scrapbooking?
I love the touch and feel. I love holding the actual elements in my
hand. I love using my hands to create things. I also love the
dimension, although I try to limit that aspect so I can fit more pages in one
album.

What do you like best about digital scrapbooking?
I like digital because of the ease of which you can resize pictures.
The unlimited possibilities in recoloring, resizing, and changing elements is
awesome. But I think most of all, I love the ability to play with text in
the digital format.
If you were a scrapbooking supply, what would you be?
Easy...Flowers. No...maybe bling...er...flowers...no, no
bling. Okay, okay, maybe flowers with bling??? (Basically
anything pretty).

Other than scrapbooking, what do you like to do with your time?
My first love is photography. That's what brought me to
scrapbooking. I love photographing my family and our travels
(which isn't much LOL). I love to capture the beauty of God's creation
with my camera. But in addition to that, I enjoy reading, jewelry making,
sewing and shopping....I'm not sure what order of those.
If you could only use one color of cardstock for the rest of your
life, what color would you choose?
Kraft. It goes with nearly everything (at least all the colors I use)

What time of day do you usually scrapbook?
My favorite time of day to scrap is mid afternoon. But let's face
reality, I usually scrap in the evenings from 8 to 10.

What are three things our members probably don't know about you?
I love to laugh (that might be known).
I had many things I wanted to do with my life when I was younger, of which
my current role as SAHM married to a wanna-be rancher was the farthest from my
mind (well, the rancher part anyway), but I'm so very content &
happy with it.
We live off the electrical grid and run our home off solar power. I've
learned a lot, and have had to sacrifice a lot of "modern
conveniences" (like the clothes dryer), but it's been an awesome
experience.

How many kids do you have?
Human kids? I have two, a six year old boy and 4 year old girl.
But we are hobby ranchers, and in addition to all the critters we have, I
currently have two goat kids (babies) living in my living room because it's
below freezing outside and we are trying to hand raise them...Ah...the
adventure of my life.
