Cards-to-Layouts Challenge

Today, I saw a creative challenge for you in the cards. No, I'm not psychic, but I am having us look to handmade greeting cards for creative inspiration. This challenge is a continuation of the "Designer Challenge: From Layout to Cards" article in the July/August 2010 issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine, where the Creating Keepsakes team paired up with the Paper Crafts magazine team to see how a group of creative ladies took inspiration either from layouts to create cards or from cards to create layouts. We had so much fun with that project that we're now inviting you to create a layout inspired by any of the cards found on the Creating Keepsakes editors' blog today, such as this baby card by Betsy Veldman.

Create to Win!
By creating a scrapbook page based on one of the cards, you'll be entered to win a prize, complete with a copy of the July/August 2010 issues of Creating Keepsakes and Paper Crafts magazines and a variety of scrapbooking supplies.

Here's how to enter:

1. Create a layout based on one of the cards posted on the Creating Keepsakes editors' blog today.

2. Photograph or scan your layout, and upload the image of your layout to the Club CK gallery. Be sure to use "Cards-to-Layouts Challenge" in the title of your image. In the description for your image, make sure you state which card you’ve taken your inspiration from. For instructions on uploading your layouts to the gallery, click here. Note: You will need to sign up for FREE registration on the site in order to upload your layout.

3. Leave a comment below that shares the URL link to your layout in the Club CK gallery. For example, "My layout is shown here: http://clubcreatingkeepsakes.com/media/p/2866.aspx."

From the comments we receive by Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at midnight MST, we'll award three randomly selected winners a copy of the July/August 2010 issues of Creating Keepsakes and Paper Crafts, as well as an assortment of delightful paper-crafting products.

Whether you're a card maker, a scrapbooker, or both, this is one challenge that's in your destiny!

Cheers!

Megan Hoeppner, creative editor

Here's mine.  I got my inspiration from the Congrats card with a bird by Rae Barthel.  This challenge was fun & difficult because I have a hard time figuring out where to put the pix in general.

I'm so confused and I'm having a problem linking my cards-to-layout from the CK club gallery to here. My link doesn't look like everyone elses and the picture doesn't show up. I have tried navagating the site but I can't seem to find out where it tells me how to link up from there. Can anyone help? I sure would appreciate it.
