The Creating Keepsakes editorial team is enjoying these inspiring
layouts posted in the gallery this week!
"Tickle Me" by kismet art
Isn't this design simply fabulous? Creative editor Megan
Hoeppner had this to say about the layout: "The use of color on this page
immediately caught my attention. The way the background is created with paint
and ribbon is definitely fresh and inspiring."

"Valentine Train" by justbusyscrappin
How adorable is this handmade train for Valentine's Day! I
can picture every member of the family eating up this design (not to mention
the candy that goes inside the cars!).

"I Hope" by Erica Hettwer
My heart just melts when I see this page. Product editor
Lori Fairbanks agreed, and she had this to say: "The yellow and white color
scheme is so beautiful and warm. The photo shows such a tender moment. The page
has a great overall feel."
I also love how Erica used butterfly accents as the centers
of her flowers.

"True Beauty" by okanogangirl
Not all layouts need a lot of journaling, and I think this
layout is a great example. The beautiful flower and paper print add the perfect
mood for the photos! The scalloped border on the bottom of the photo mat enhances
the feminine feel.

"Wishing You Sunshine Card" by Betsy Veldman
This card makes me want to go outside and play in the rain
(which we're getting plenty of in Utah today!). Associate editor Dorathy
Gilchrist was especially drawn to it. "I like the quilted look," she said. "The
girl embellishment with the rickrack and patterns is just like something you'd
see on an old-fashioned quilt."
--

"Tilda with Hat" by Heppster
On this second card that caught my eye, I love the idea of
having the girl image "sit" on the ribbon. What a clever use of supplies! The
butterfly near the girl's right shoulder is such a fun complement.

"XOXO" by Stacy Z
I think the white-and-blue color scheme for this layout is
perfect for a bath-time page. Assistant editor Joannie McBride commented: "I
like the clean look of the page. The photos are fun (and the baby is super cute).
I like that the photos are separated to give the layout the feel of a magazine
ad."

"Beach Babe" by brown eyed girl
Pairing orange with blue on beach pages produces a great
result! Plus, the font on the "beach" letters seems like the perfect selection
for a lazy-day-at-the-beach page.
--

"Going on a Hayride" by carkareokequeen
This design is a great arrangement for 4" x 6"
photos. I love the color scheme and apple motif, and the large scallop borders
nicely enhance the feeling. Plus, carkareokequeen creates a great visual triangle
with the green brads, green title block, and green leaves. Well done!

"Through the Eyes of a Child" by Jessica Taylor
Seeing a layout where a child took the photos gets me every
time. It doesn't hurt when Mommy knows how to crop them for the perfect layout
appeal.

I hope you enjoyed these layouts as well! Post your pages to
the gallery, and your layout may be featured on the blog next week or in an upcoming
edition of Creating Keepsakes. Plus,
our entire community will be able to be inspired by your designs.
